Starting Pay Range: $45,210.00

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Performs firefighting, fire prevention, and rescue work; maintains and cleans fire district buildings, grounds, and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to lift heavy objects or persons in rescue, ability to climb ladders, and to haul hose and operate extrication equipment while wearing protective equipment. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions consisting of extreme heat and cold. Shall respond as directed to all emergency alarms during shift. Shall perform daily station work activities to include maintenance of apparatus, grounds & stations, and equipment. Shall assist in the day-to-day operation of the fire district business office. This shall include handling of correspondence, answering business and emergency phone calls. Shall assist in the fire inspection and fire prevention programs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
l. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Possess a valid Missouri state driver's license with an excellent driving record.
3. Possess NIMS 100,200, and 700 certifications.
4. Hold current Missouri Division of Fire Safety Certifications as.

Possess a Current First Responder or Higher Certification.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. No serious or felony criminal record.
2. Excellent work history and attendance record
3. Applicants must successfully pass the Fire Protection District's written exam, physical agility test, driving competency course, oral interview(s), background investigation, medical exam, and drug screening.
