Service to Others

As a fire department protecting both the City and District, it is with the best of our intentions to serve the community and those who need us to be there in a moments notice. As a department we cover calls including EMS, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Motor Vehicle Fires, Brush Fires, Structure Fires, Gas Spills and Leaks, Commercial Fires and many more types of service calls.

Not only is it our duty to be there for you and those in the community when an emergency is taking place but we reach out through our community and participate in projects such as Back to School events, local fairs, Church events, and a wide range of community affairs to teach, interact and overall to be an active entity throughout the community.

Each member on the department volunteers with the full intent to serve others because they feel it is their absolute duty to do so, no matter the circumstances.

"Volunteers Do Not Necessarily Have The Time, They Just Have The Heart."

Our Testimonials...

I joined the fire department in 2008. Right away there was this sense of pride of being with a group of guys willing to volunteer for a job most strive to do as a career. Every member of this department comes with a different background and knowledge base on how or what a department is, but the pride is still there. This department becomes your family, your brothers and sisters. To me, this is my second home and there isn’t a better group of individuals I would rather share it with. While being with the department I have learned skills and attended classes that I never thought possible, doing things most people only see on tv or in movies. It has given me a sense of ownership and pride, wanting to see this department grow.

Becoming a Firefighter with the Marshfield Fire Protection District has been one of the most important choices that I have ever made. I chose this profession because helping others is important to me. I knew that I wanted to put myself in a position to leave a positive mark on the lives of others. I wanted to be a part of a team atmosphere and a family oriented environment. I joined to serve the people and the community that raised me. By serving the residents of and visitors to marshfield, I am able to positively impact the lives of many people. I have made many friendships over the years. I consider my fellow firefighters a part of my extended family. There is a strong sense of camaraderie when you report to the station that you don’t get from other professions. I consider myself lucky and privileged to be a part of Marshfield Fire. It is a great feeling to look forward to a positive future.
— Firefighter. Kit Gaynor
I joined Marshfield Fire Department in April of 2013, and I’m currently a Senior Fire Fighter, and FTO (Field Training Officer) Coordinator. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, in any given situation, and being a member of this department gives me that opportunity to do so on a daily basis. Aside from being able to help others, it’s also being part of something bigger than me. The brotherhood that you experience from the moment that you walk through the door, is second to none. We pride ourselves on many things, however the Honor of being a member of this department and being able to serve this community is a flame of passion that will never die out. We’re grateful of many things, but the support we have for each other, as well as the support we have from our community, is what I hold closest to my heart.
