Service with Courage, Integrity, and Pride

The Marshfield Fire Protection District is always looking for dedicated individuals to volunteer their time in serving their community. Without the selfless service of our volunteer Marshfield Fire Protection District could not provide the protection and community services that we offer today. There are several ways to volunteer.

Volunteering for the fire service is community outreach at its best. Did you ever want to be a part of a greater cause? Did you ever want to help others when it seems like no one else can? Were you ever faced with an emergency and felt the need to act? Did you grow up always wondering what it was like to ride on a fire engine? Do you want a place where you feel like you belong and are accepted no matter what your difference?

If you answered yes to any of those questions or just want to get to know us, we want to hear from you. If you provide your time, commitment, and enthusiasm, we will provide the training, equipment, and guidance.

There are several ways to volunteer:

Firefighter - The Firefighter is the muscle of our organization. They actively partake in firefighting activities. They rescue trapped people from damaged cars and burning homes, put out fires, and work at hazardous materials incidents.

First Responder - The First Responder responds to emergency medical calls and provides medical aid to sick and injured individuals. They work along side EMT's and Paramedics and provide vital life saving skills in emergency situations.

Cadet - The Cadet Firefighter is between the ages of 14-18. Cadets are provided the same training and equipment as a firefighter but due to the age their activities are slightly restricted. Our Cadets do respond on calls and work along side our firefighter providing a valuable support function.

Auxiliary - Auxiliary members are the unsung heroes of our organization. These members plan and coordinate special events. They act in community outreach and provide vital support to the functions of our department. These members also provide on scene rehabilitation at incidents for our firefighters.

Admin Support - Running into fires not for you? Don't like the idea of blood? You can always volunteer as administrative support for our department. Assist with filing, answering phones, cleaning, maintenance, and providing childcare while firefighters are on calls.

No matter your interest there is a place for you in our organization. We love to meet new people and show them how important they are to our community. If you think you can handle the best team sport ever invented, we urge you to fill out the form below and submit it. Someone will contact you shortly with more information and the next step in your new adventure.  Even better, you can always just swing by Station 1 located at 521 S. Prairie Lane, Marshfield, MO 65706 and speak with someone directly about volunteering.
